The traditional shoe for real Bavarians: The brogue.

Originally, the brogue was a classic working shoe, but then found its way into the traditional costume. These days you can wear it for almost every occasion, but still looks best with Bavarian leather pants.
The characteristics of brogues are the high-ride heel-area and the rather low-cut area under the ankles. The lacing on the side gives the shoe a quite elegant appearance.
