Leberkas has been made in Bavaria for over 200 years and is a real fixture in the menu. Whether warm as a main course or simply with a snack, maybe a with pickled cucumbers, this is how the classic tastes best.

By the way: In the real Munich Leberkas, neither liver nor cheese belongs. Leber was formed from the word "loaf" because the resourceful butcher of Max III. Joseph von Bayern baked his century work in bread molds. In Bavaria the term "Kas" stands for a compact mass.
